E4tech’s Adam Chase today launches a major report on the links between policy and UK automotive investment, which identifies lessons learned over the past 10 years. ‘Investing in the low carbon journey: Lessons from the first decade of UK policy on the road to 2050’ is launched during the LowCVP Conference 2014 on 15.07.2014. E4tech, working with Cardiff Business School, surveyed and interviewed 120 leading industry players and policymakers, and built a database of policies and investments made over the past decade. Key findings include the central role played by industrial policy, the importance of stable low carbon policies at EU and UK level, and the relevance of collaborative structures between industry and government. The positive story for the automotive sector is not mirrored in low carbon fuels, where important lessons can be learned according to the report which is available for download from the LowCVP website.
