On 29 August, E4tech’s Dr François Vuille will moderate a debate on the future of energy supply in rural areas at the eco.villages event in Les Diablerets, Switzerland. Eco.villages aims to be a neutral platform for discussion of economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable development pathways for villages – particularly in mountain regions. The 2nd edition of the event will look at the emerging sustainable economic sectors for villages, the cohesion between cities and villages, and will feature high profile speakers, including Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch, Director of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic affairs; Bertrand Piccard, President of Solar Impulse; Michael Liebreich, CEO of Bloomberg New Energy Finance; and André Schneider, Vice-president of the EPFL.
